EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), sometimes known as “tapping”, is a therapy which can provide, for some, quick relief from anxiety, overthinking and overwhelm. It can also be used to overcome stressful, traumatic events or fears or for preparing for upcoming events such as birth or becoming a new mum.
Working with a therapist can help you to identify what is at the root of the issue. EFT works by identifying what the patterns are and can disconnect the trigger with the reaction so you are more in control of your emotions and reactions.
It’s a tool that you can learn to use on your own when you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed, so after a therapy session, you are then able to take it away and carry on using it.
It can feel awkward and silly, as you will tap around points of your body whilst saying a mantra. Even the most cynical see the results quickly and often book back in for more sessions – so don’t let that put you off. The session will show you how to tap around your own body.
